• About me

My name is Michelle Miller. I am a passionate physicist by training pursuing a PhD in computational Neuroscience at the University of Chicago in Brent Doiron’s and Dave Freedman’s labs. I’m interested in understanding the underlying networks of the brain in particular how learning and memory are shaped by intrinsic cellular properties and circuit mechanisms. That said, I am also very interested in generalized principles of neural computation including the role that neural heterogeneity impacts computation in nonplastic networks.
